Don’t forget to take care of yourself!
Three Baths and a Ducky
Meditation on Teacup
The object of meditation can be anything – your breath, the sensations in your body, or maybe an object. It can be the actions and/or thoughts in your daily life. With practice the end result is that your mind calms down at some point, allowing you to access truths about your reality. I often practice Vipassana meditation and it’s always amazing how much insight arises from watching bodily sensations. I was in a very calm state while painting this teacup. So for me this painting represents peace in the heart and peace in the mind. Just realized that this comment sounds similar to Big Heart, Big Mind, another technique that has brought me great value.
If you have an effective means of renewing yourself, then take great care to maintain your practice. If you need a means of renewing your spirit give a meditation practice a try – even if it’s just a few moments each day. After all, resource renewal is one of the 7 habits of highly effective people!

What is it that you’ve been wanting to do? Go with that feeling of excitement and go for it! Crocuses are the first harbinger of spring in my area. This painting is also designed to help build and strengthen relationships, whether friends or family.
Be Happy!
Believe it or not, it’s a choice!
So choose to be happy!
I have received a lot of feedback asking me to not donate proceeds of painting sales to charitable organizations, at least not in the manner I had set up through this website. I have to say I was more than a little bit surprised! But after digging a little bit further, it’s clear that donating money is a very personal choice. This includes the amount that we donate and the organization that receives our donation. And with the system I had in place, I was indirectly making that choice for someone purchasing my art. Certainly my intent is not to make your choices for you! So I’m removing the charitable donation feature from the blog.
I am making a change that will allow me to give back to those of you receiving these emails. Subscribers to this blog will now automatically be entered in a monthly drawing for a free print or painting. So any help spreading the word on this is greatly appreciated!
